Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: It is the Debut i am working on. It is my first project and completely DIY. i was producer, recording engineer, mixing engineer and mastering engineer beside my job as a guitarist in the band
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: digital is more comfortable but i love the little fairy-dust of analog sounds
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: Fixing in the mix. it doesn't work
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are your references? What kind of audience do you want?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: performance and fun is the important thing in the session
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: acoustic guitar, cajon, acustic bass, ducktape, leatherman
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started with learning by doing 25 years ago, 2016 i started my engineer education and 2019 i get my Diploma in Audio Engineering. I make music since i was 10 years old.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Against the loudness-war
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I like to work with a classic band setup, but i am open minded with all kind of music
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: mixing and editing guitars, work with references
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Crisp, Shine and Loudness
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The work starts with a listening session of the raw song and songs out of the same genre. After opening and arrange the project i do a volume- and panning mix. First than i control the files with EQ & compression. I use reverb and delay very economical The Mix will sound analog as possible
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I prefer to mix in the box. I have a lot of PlugIns of Waves, HOFA-Studios, Soundtoys. I mix with Cubase 10.5, JBL Speakers and Beyerdynamic Headphones, Recording with Studer-PreAmps
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: on the debut-album from fin the chaef, my own band.

A: not yet
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: i do my very best
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love all kinds of things that comes with music and making music
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Dave Grohl, i like his kind of thinking about making music
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Dynamic EQ on Bass sidechaining (Kick) with shelving filters. Shelving low end with "Ahead attack" and 12:1 ratio and shelving the high end with "ahead attack" and 1:12 ratio.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I heard many difficult styles of music, but i am influenced by the grunge-sound of the 90's
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I want to mix and master songs for my clients and with my clients.
