Stephanie has that type of angelic and melodic voice that you can put on any record. What I really loved about working with her though is the extent to which she is patient and detail-oriented in her approach to collaboration. Def would recommend!
Stephanie is a phenomenal producer and was amazing working on my podcast. Her eye for detail and professionalism is unmatched. You can definitely tell she knows what she’s doing and that she has spent ample time perfecting her craft! Whatever creative idea you have she is able to plan and execute in a timely manner. You will not be disappointed!
As a person that has seen the work Stephanie has created as a songwriter and a vocalist I must say she has shown great ability. If you need someone that is dedicated, responsible, and committed that is her. I have no doubt that with Stephanie on your projects you will be in great hands. I highly recommend!
As someone who has worked with Stephanie personally, I would highly recommend getting her on board with your projects. She and I have created dozens of in-studio ideas and compositions. She is an extremely talented writer, singer, musician, and producer and even has formal training and a degree to back it up. However, she does not let her formal training supersede the creative process. She's great if you already have vocal arrangements and she's even better at composing original ones. Her ear is unparalleled and creating with her has produced some of the best work I have to date.
Interview with Stephanie Rosado
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring consistent vocals with refreshing, full harmonies that will take your track to the next level.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both, If it was up to me I would use an analog compressor and then the rest digital simply because I think it sounds better. It also depends on what genre I was recording in for ex: for a rock record I would record in the box but use analog gear to fit the style of the music. For a commercial pop record I would use mostly digital because thats more fitting for the style. I am always up for experimenting with different setups and rigs because thats where the innovation of production is found in my opinion.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it comes naturally and takes no practice at all!
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you want a warm vocal or bright? Do you want fuller harmonies or light?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have recently graduated with a B.A in Music with a focus in audio production. I started my production journey in 2014 and my singing journey since 2006. My production experience comes from working on various recording and mixing projects throughout my collegiate career and on my own time. My vocal expertise comes from performing in various venues and events around the greater Cincinnati area. I also studied voice with my professor at the university for 5 years and have been in a few productions there as well.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe it as eclectic!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Know when your song is finished! your song is never going to be perfect and at some point you need to come to a stoping point and say "this is complete" so you can move on to the next thing.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Ive sang and worked on Pop, R&B-Soul, Classical and Jazz rep/ Recordings
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is listening, using my ear. I know when something sounds good and I know when It sounds bad or needs to be re- recorded.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: In terms of singing: I like to record the song section by section ( For ex: A,B,A) so the takes still have some fluency between them. Then I double the chorus vocal (if needed) after, I start recording the stacks for the bck vox.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio setup is very simple, I have a mic, pre amp, and logic pro X. When working on the music production aspect of things I have a different setup and techniques I use.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Musicians who inspire me are : John Mayer, Tori Kelly, Jacob Collier, Ledisi, and Charlie Puth. Industry professionals who inspire me are Manny Marroquin & Mark Ronson.
