Neil Taylor on SoundBetter

I have been a session guitarist for the past 25 years and have played guitars for Tears For Fears on ’Songs From The Big Chair’ & ‘Sowing The Seeds Of Love’; Tina Turner ’Steamy Windows’; Morrissey ’The Last Of The Famous International Playboys’ & was in Robbie Williams band for 10 years playing guitars on ‘Sing While Your Winning’ & Escapology’

I would call myself a creative Rock/Pop/Contemporary Guitarist. I have my own style of playing I enjoy composing guitar parts & melodic solos.
I also sing well. More recently I have branched out on my own & have released four solo albums to date & now working on number 5.

Neil's talent and resume speak for themselves, but working with him is even better. He was quick to respond to my needs and nailed the vibe I was shooting for. He brought instant credibility to a rough demo. I plan to use him as often as he is available.

I first saw Neil with a local Bristol band Sneak Preview back in the early eighties and was immediately blown away with his unique style. I'm going to use the word angular to hopefully get the idea across. I noticed he used build in a lot of open strings into a sequence creating an amazing sound. You can hear a bit of this in the out-tro of Everybody wants to rule world. If you want to sound distinctive use Neil.

  12. Review by Steve Power

One of the most instinctively creative and non-cliché driven guitarists I've ever worked with. Lovely fella, great attitude. You can't go wrong with Neil because he can play anything. Check out his wonderfully inventive solo on Robbie's Rock Dj single. Nobody plays like him.
