I have been a session guitarist for the past 25 years and have played guitars for Tears For Fears on ’Songs From The Big Chair’ & ‘Sowing The Seeds Of Love’; Tina Turner ’Steamy Windows’; Morrissey ’The Last Of The Famous International Playboys’ & was in Robbie Williams band for 10 years playing guitars on ‘Sing While Your Winning’ & Escapology’
I would call myself a creative Rock/Pop/Contemporary Guitarist. I have my own style of playing I enjoy composing guitar parts & melodic solos.
I also sing well. More recently I have branched out on my own & have released five solo albums to date & now working on number 6 for release in the USA..

Neil is a super nice guy and its an honor to have him play one of my tracks. The song had some challenging bits and Neil came up with some great parts throughout. Not to mention a great solo. Highly recommended!
Neil is awesome! He always manages to bring out the best in a song!
It's on thing to be a brilliant musician, but Neil showed me another side on this project. Complete class act. He was willing to make changes due to how picky I was being on this one. He nailed it and made me feel welcome to make the changes. The end product was exactly as I needed. Thanks Neil!
Neil is awesome!
I'm always fortunate to have Neil as a go-to guitarist. He's always a quick turnaround, professional, very talented and very creative in his approach. He adds an additional dimension to my music as well. Which is greatly needed. Thanks for everything you do Neil!
I'm so lucky to have found Neil. He's recorded a few tunes already and every song has turned out great. He gives me choices and adds flair every time. This helps me put more color in my songs and a fresh perspective. I wasn't a big fan of this recent song that I wrote. But he brought it back to life. THANK YOU NEIL
I've been using Neil on various projects and it's my goal to always use him. He's creative, writing songs within songs and adding great flavor and color to my music. I can't stress how rare of a talent that Neil is and he's extremely humble and kind to work with. I couldn't be more pleased.
Neil is da bomb! He is an amazing guitarist/musician/artist and… legend. If you want your song(s) elevated, Neil’s your guy. He just makes them sound so right. Without knowing it, Neil has now become my guitarist – he’s just that good.
I will be returning to him with many more tracks. Also, his turnaround is super quick. And to top it all off, Neil is a super nice guy to boot. Thank you, Neil.
Neil is a guitar legend. You only have to hear his seminal lead and rhythm work with Tears for Fears, amongst many others, to recognise this. He got hold of my song - a very 80s pop inspired production - and took it all to the next level with sublime rhythm playing and a suitably melodic but snarling solo. I can't state how highly I rate his playing. What's more, he's a very nice fellow as well. Will be back for more Neil magic on my next song.
Wow! Neil works magic every time. Provides what I ask for, but always throws in some creative energy to give the song some extra sparkle. I've been a fan of his for years and to have him add credibility to my music is a major plus!
Great professional guitarist! Provided 2 killer solos in couple of days. it was hard to choose between them. Both were excellent. Highly recommended.
In short... way talented. super nice. easy to work with . quick turnaround. A beast of a guitar player.
Neil's talent and resume speak for themselves, but working with him is even better. He was quick to respond to my needs and nailed the vibe I was shooting for. He brought instant credibility to a rough demo. I plan to use him as often as he is available.
Neil delivered a great sounding solo in just one or two days. Work was done professionally and exactly as promised. Thanks man, hope we get to work together again!
Neil always instinctively delivers great parts even with the vaguest of directions. Highly recommended!
This man needs no revisions!
He's simply THE BEST.
I first saw Neil with a local Bristol band Sneak Preview back in the early eighties and was immediately blown away with his unique style. I'm going to use the word angular to hopefully get the idea across. I noticed he used build in a lot of open strings into a sequence creating an amazing sound. You can hear a bit of this in the out-tro of Everybody wants to rule world. If you want to sound distinctive use Neil.
I played on a few big hits with Neil, and always really enjoyed his playing and his company!
Contacting Neil to play guitar on your songs would be the best choice you can make for yourself and your songs! His amazing feel, and inventive playing will enhance any song! And his personality will enhance the experience!
One of the most instinctively creative and non-cliché driven guitarists I've ever worked with. Lovely fella, great attitude. You can't go wrong with Neil because he can play anything. Check out his wonderfully inventive solo on Robbie's Rock Dj single. Nobody plays like him.
