Hello, my name is Daniel Smith. I like to write songs and sing as "Danielson." I also really enjoy working with musicians and making recordings together.
The studio is a 1200 sq ft space. It has a live room with 18 ft ceilings at the peak. It has an isolation room with vintage and newer keyboards and a spinet piano. The control room has Quested S6 near-fields and Quested 2108's which are soffit mounted. The console is an 80's Allen & Heath 24 channel "Saber" that was modified by Matt Newport of Black Lion Audio. There are 17 external preamps, which include Universal Audio 610, Daking, Sytek, RCA, and Black Lion. We have a Sony APR 24 track 2" machine and an Otari mx5050 1/4" 2-track. The AD/DA converters are Apogee and RME. We run Logic X and Pro-Tools. We are set up to record 24 tracks live to either tape or digitally. Many of the microphones are Michael Joly mods.
