Interview with S-WIL Media
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I was the mixing engineer for New House's EP "New Year"
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Live sound
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: If I had the analog gear I would use it, because you can hear the difference when you compare analog to its digital version. Since I usually just have plugins to work with I make them work.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do they have a reference track for the sound they are trying to get.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie pop and Christian
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Get a balanced mix, usually starting with the rhythm section, adding vocals and other instruments, making sure that every element has a place in the mix.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Freelance out of studios at Fort Knox so it depends on the clients need.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Dave Pensado
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Tracking, mixing, post-production, and synching dialog to film
