Gijs Kohlen on SoundBetter

Pineapple addict with over 10.000.000 streams. Worked with all the Major record labels in the music industry. Labels like Armada Music, Warner Music Group and Sony Music to name a few. Peaked #22 in Denmark with 'Young & Reckless' and #26 in Finland with 'Dive' on Spotify.

Hey you!

My name is Gijs Kohlen and i am half of the Armada & Sony Music signed duo KRYGA. In total we reached already 4.000.000+ streams on Spotify. With records like 'Dive' (1.500.000+) and 'Young & Reckless' (2.000.000+) are we on the right way to achieve our goals.

Right now we want to start with a new phase in our "carreer". We see young potential producers struggle and that's where we'd like to help. We don't only produce/co-produce your song, we also using our network to help you with a pitch to several major labels (Warner, Sony, Armada, Spinnin').

I am specialised in relaxed sounds, chill music, deep house & pop.

Feel free to contact me for any projects. I’m looking forward to work with you!

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

  39. Q: What's your typical work process?

  40. A: I first start with a good cup of coffee. Slight touch of Vanille to get my head straight. Thanks to the coffee my head is starting with some ideas for a Intro, normally guitars and after that i start building. Additional chords to add more width to the song. Kick, snaph, clap, hats to fill everything together. In my opinion is starting with a nice intro a great way to get a bigger drop! Save the best for the last!

  41. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  42. A: I use Logic Pro X for a Daw, for my mixing tools i use normally the "Waves" package, they are pretty awesome! For guitar recordings i use Audient id14, and not to forget my lovely Adam A5X for a overwhelming sound! <3

  43. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  44. A: Lost Frequencies, Felix Jaehn, Zhu, Chainsmokers.
