Interview with Nucleus Mastering
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will make your music sound exactly how you want. I will give you unlimited revisions on the master to ensure you are 100% satisfied with it!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Computer, monitors, midi keyboard, guitar, and a microphone! What more do you need?!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I try to work as closely with the client as possible. I try to give them everything they want from their music, so I like to stay co-operative throughout and allow for revisions, so they are fully satisfied with my work.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I'm running a purely digital setup, with a very large collection of plugins going through Logic Pro X.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Andy Wallace is my main inspiration when it comes to mastering, the man is a genius!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I master client's mixes. I take a mix and make it sound perfect by removing the nasty parts, and enhancing all the good stuff!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I can make your song sound exactly how you like. I will master your song, and leave you with a piece of work that you are very proud of, and that sounds so good that people will want to buy it!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Mastering is something that has always interested me. I've been doing it for just over 3 years now, and to date have only mastered my own band's music. I'm happy with the results, and would like to share my talents on your music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I like to make songs sound as polished and perfect as possible, but at the same time meet all the needs of the client.
