Interview with Lindäle Sound Studio
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: We are always more and more proud of the last song we produce.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Music production.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Depends on the case. They deliver different results, which can be better or worse depending on the case.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Deliver a song with the same quality as his favorite artists.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Answer from our producer: The joy I feel when I make a beautiful melody accompanied by a progression of chords.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Do it cheaper? I answer, no.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: To think that the more expensive the producer's equipment, the better his music. Do not.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you know how to sing this?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Listen well to the work of the studio or producer you want to hire, and compare his work with the artists who are references to you.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: In our case, we would need the island to have electricity. But with just a notebook and a headset, a good product can already make a professional song. They would be: a notebook, a headset, a pair of monitors, a midi controller and a DAW
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Our studio is relatively new. We started doing this professionally just over 2 years ago.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Is clean, soft and passes deep feelings.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: With the artist who needs me.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: What matters is the final quality. If necessary, to make your music sounds good, break any rule. For example, everyone says that one should leave the sub basses in mono... Well, I've found that many world hits have sub bass in stereo... And that sounds great on many sound systems, like headphones. It gives wonderful weight to the song and, contrary to what everyone says, it does not necessarily harm the mono. Just know what you're doing, that your sub bass will sound wonderful in both mono and stereo.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Tropical House
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: We possess expertise in all areas. Writing lyrics. Melodies. Harmony composition. Arrangement. Mixing. Mastering. We just don't offer the audio recording service.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: First, feeling. A song must go through intensely the feeling that it proposes to pass. Secondly, beauty, because a song should be appreciated. Last but not least: professional quality. The quality of the audio should equal the quality of the feeling that the song goes through.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: 1 - We write the lyrics 2 - We make a chord progression with a melody for this lyrics 3 - We passed the demo version so the singer learn to sing 4 - We received the recording of the vocal of the singer 5 - We produce the arrangement 6 - We mix 7 - Mastering
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Production of a complete song, from the writing of the letter, the melodies of the vocal, production of the arrangement, until the mixing and mastering.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: It's simple but sophisticated. Enough to achieve the professional quality that the world market demands.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
