If you've already heard Jessica's voice you already know how powerful it is, nothing like it. I might as well be trying to draw a picture of it as try to write words about it in a tiny tweet-lookin' box, but when she sings you feel it punch your chest from the inside in a way most singers can't do.

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My Debut EP Voices ! (You can find it on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, etc. )
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: The acoustic version of my Debut EP, Voices -- which is out now on iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music and all that jazz :D
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Don't under estimate the power of backing vocals !
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: The biggest misconception about recording artists is that it's supposed to sound "pretty." I take it a step further and experiment with different sounds.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The more specific you are with what you want, the better
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My acoustic guitar, warm tea and honey, a blanket to keep my throat warm and snug and bongos
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started out doing one of my biggest passions Musical Theatre and transitioned into being a recording artist about 2 years ago. I've been singing and performing since I was 7.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I would describe my personal style as ... Breathy / Sexy / Ambient / Future Soul and R&B.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Frank Ocean because he inspires me as a singer and songwriter. The timing on his vocals are spot on and his tracks really give you an experience.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Lately I've been getting a lot of work on Progressive House, Hip-Hop and R&B tracks. My own original work is very Future Soul/R&B based.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Topline vocals, riffs, and bgv harmonies
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My vocals offer a tonal quality that has so much character to it. Coming from an acting background, I'm great with direction and portraying emotion and will often do takes playing different characters so that you have a variety of vocal stylings to choose from. It's a lot of fun!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Typically when I approach a project for songwriting, I will listen to the instrumentals a few times and start to generate strong melody lines. Out of that I create a title and a concept and then I start writing the song from there. The songwriting process is really delicate and time consuming and sometimes I do this remotely for inspiration. Because I might not write from my home studio, I send voice memos with ideas to clients. Once we solidify lyrics + melody, I record the Lead Vocals and send it over so that the producer can add any new elements to the track. We may decide to add some bgv's to it (my fave <3) and from there on out, the project is yours.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Some of my biggest musical influences are Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Jhene Aiko, Frank Ocean, Miguel, Alina Baraz, H.E.R., and Christina Aguilera.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use a home studio set-up that consists of a Universal Audio Apollo Twin and a Neumann TLM 102. My DAW is logic.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I am booked mostly to sing topline vocals and to go into the studio as a session singer. I also will often get booked to write lyrics + melody for a track and provide vocals for it as well.
