I specialize in mastering TV scores and acoustic music. I've mastered music used on Fox, Nickelodeon, ABC, and many other networks in genres all over the map: Rock, Pop, Electronic. I also focus on acoustic/bluegrass music and have mastered and worked on albums by grammy award winning acoustic artists.
For over a decade I've been taking music and giving it a final polish before it goes in front of millions of listeners all around the world. My mastering work can be heard on music used for the tv shows: So You Think You Can Dance (Fox), The Toy Box (ABC), Homicide Hunters (I.D.), and many others.
I also love to master acoustic music, mostly bluegrass. One project I'm especially proud of mastering is Marty Raybon and Full Circle's album, "The Back Forty" on Rural Rhythm Records.
My goal is to take your music and bring it to the next level using the best available tools, both analog and digital.
So whether you want to get your submission to a music library or tv show sounding the best it can, I can help get it there. Or, if you have a whole album of music needing a traditional master, I'd love to help bring the most out of your music.

The track was excellent, which made it so enjoyable adding my sax tracks. This is a pro outfit!

Josh has been a wonderful discover on SoundBetter! He mastered one song I mixed and did a terrific job! Great and fast communication, very skilled sound engineer.

Josh was responsive, timely, and careful while being refreshingly laid-back, something I appreciated after fussing in the mixing stage. He made talking through and evaluating the master very easy, and of course did a great job with the track.
I can't say enough about how great it was to work with Josh! Everything was top notch. I sent him an alt-folk track I had recorded and mixed, and he made sure it shined. Josh's communication, attention to detail and willingness to tackle some of the trickiest parts of the track were excellent throughout the process, and I'm very pleased with his speed and professionalism. I'll definitely be sending more work his way in the future.
I've had the pleasure of knowing Josh for several years. When it finally came time to tackle a very ambitious multi-tracked album with orchestral arrangements, layered guitar parts, and multiple harmonies...Josh understood my vision, was able to reign in each track, and gave the project what it ultimately needed. Josh is an absolute talent and ensures quality at every step of the recording/mixing/mastering process. Thank you, Josh!
Our band had put a lot of work into recording and mixing our album, and while it sounded good, we were interested to hear how professional mastering could improve it. Enter Josh. He took our recordings and transformed them into a delight to the ears. We had experimented ourselves with some compression and EQ, which was OK as an amateur exercise. But when we heard a sample master for one of tracks from Josh, I knew we had no other choice. He was a pleasure to communicate with. Out of all the excellent work we had just a couple adjustments that he promptly addressed. Highly recommended!
Last year Josh mastered my recording project. The original tracks didn't sound like they belonged together; one track's level would be dramatically higher or lower than the next. Additionally, the microphone setup I used for each track differed, creating imbalances with the reverb, etc. What I got back from Josh exceeded my expectations. He's a wizard and really fixed my project. He works hard to be make sure clients are happy with his work. Highly recommended!
Interview with Your Werewolf Mastering
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a hyrbid analog/digital setup. Everything goes through the antelope pure 2 converter. if I choose to use some outboard processing I can utilize a TK audio eq to help with the overall balance. Then I will compress/limit the mix, if needed, in the digital domain.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I love what a number of artists are doing in the synthwave community. And Tchad Blake can do no wrong when it comes to mixing and engineering, in my opinion. I also love what Bernie Grundman gets when he masters an album.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: With mastering, I try and bring out the most important elements of the track. If the artists feels like something got lost in the mix, or some of the punch was taken away I focus on recovering as much as I can.
