Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been mixing for 10+ Years, I have a sound design degree from Berklee College Of Music and Nowadays I live in LA where I mix music for a living, I am trying to expand my clientele roster and I think soundbetter is a great way to do it
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Very empathic and good listener, I will aways try to understand your process and work with what you want without imposing my own rules,styles in your music. I respect your creative process and I will aim to make what you want a reality.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Trust your gut, if it sounds good to you, it will be good to other people too.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I am very versatile but I try to focus on synth pop, music driven by synthetizers and punchy beats upfront although I consider myself very good at mixing acoustic drums/instruments as well.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my editing.mixing skills
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring the song to the next level, radio ready, top 40 sounding tracks that will be industry competent.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I will usually try to understand your process, your goals and your style so I can get as close a possible to get it right on the first pass, one of my skills is that I can get the sound of other artists by listening to their tracks so for me the best way to get it right is to have a couple references of the sound you are looking for so I can get your music as close as possible to your idea.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I mix with my focal twin speakers and mix mostly in the box with UAD and many other plugins, if you are interested in using analog gear I can always refer you to the right person or we can work collaboratively to make it happen although nowadays most producers/mixers work in the box to facilitate revisions and control.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by musicians who write and produce theyre own music, which the goal that I've always aimed to achieve, the list is long but some of the artists I respect the most are: Steely Dan Pink Floyd Daft Punk James Blake Bonobo And the list goes on!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My most common work with clients is Vocal Producing, Audio Editing and Mixing, My music has been placed in 60+ TV shows and I make a full time living mixing music for live shows and independent artists.
