Black Bacon Sound is a recording studio that seeks to create a comfortable and flexible space for any project, whether visual or musical. Based on the process of a creative production, and the experience of each of its members, we empower each project in a different way, thus leading to the desired result.
The studio, created by Tomas Stewart, started as a place where he could professionalize his own music productions. His beginnings come from School with the rock band called "Rosamari". They recorded an LP in the year 2009. Hence his incursions into the sound engineering world, studying at the SAE Institute of London, where he participated in various music and film projects.
Back in Chile, along with director Martin Amezaga, they created “Contenido Animal", a Post production company, where he worked in short-films, feature films, corporate videos, videoclips, etc. Side by side he caries his studio project, "Black Bacon Sound", where he does as a music producer, sound and mix engineer.
In 2014, he decides to apply to the “Mix With The Masters” seminar, getting selected along with 14 other participants to go to France and work with Tchad Blake, renowned audio engineer with credits like Arctic Monkeys, Pearl Jam, The Black Keys, Tom Waits, Los Lobos, etc. In the one-week seminar, Tomas absorbed the experience, and the recording/mix techniques that now he applies to his own work.
Currently, he is guitarist and singer of the Rock 'n' Roll duo "Magaly Fields" (Algo Records), with which
they won a recording session, from Converse Rubber Tracks, of 2 days at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London.
