Daniel Stritzke on SoundBetter

Hi everybody. I'm a versatile professional based in Hamburg, Germany. In the last 10 years I mostly played bass on sessions and live in the most diverse genres. I have a degree in jazz upright but mostly play electric these days. Recently I've started producing and mixing my own projects. Doing that I have a big network of incredible musicians.

You can get everything from a professionally recorded live bass track to a fully fleshed out production from me. Since I'm in my own studio I can quickly record full playbacks in great quality on a budget.

Would love to hear from you. Click the contact button above to get in touch.

Interview with Daniel Stritzke

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: I share a great sounding studio space with a medium sized recording room which is great for a more dry approach to drum recording. (for bigger drums the staircase can be utilized) We have a good collection of microphones and outboard.

  3. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  4. A: People who can use the ever more complex and diverse ways to produce music in a way that has the same emotional value as being in the room with great musicians has.

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: My taste mostly. Music has been the biggest part of my life for as long as I can remember. I feel very lucky that I acquired the necessary skills to turn what I'm hearing in my head into a final product

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: That depends very much on the project. I like to go in at the arrangement stage and see that the music sounds great before it is recorded ideally.

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: Most commonly I play bass for clients. That means to me that I'm giving all my musical abilities to the production. I feel like my sound and feel are what contribute most in these scenarios. I'm producing a growing amount of music. It's a great way for me to combine my technical expertise with my musical skills and bring it all together.
