Nice to the ears, nice to your wallet.
Hi! I'm Judy. I'm a VOX producer, engineer, and singer-songwriter who comes equipped with a music degree and vocal training in the OC/LA area.
My vocal experiences range from choral singing, all the way to R&B and gospel. I've sang BGV's for artists and movies inside and outside of studio sessions. My vocal timbre is dark and feminine, and my range is A below C3 and A above C5.
I've vocal produced for many independent artists who are looking for quality results, while staying within their budget. My secret is to pay close attention to what makes the artist's voice unique, and try to bring that out in the recording. I love what I do, and I'm always eager to help out my fellow musicians in need of my services.
If you're looking for rich, soulful female vocals on your project, I'm your girl!

Interview with Judy Kim
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring richness and soulfulness into a song. My voice takes an androgynes tone in the lower registers, so depending on the range of the song I can also provide a masculine yet feminine vibe.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise you'll have fun!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It never feels like a job. It feels like you're always having fun! The collaboration aspect is also beautiful because there's something about sitting down with people with different experiences, knowledge, and skills that create something extraordinary.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Don't be afraid to speak up. If you don't like something, say it! My goal is to help YOU make your music amazing!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My MacBook Pro, an audio interface, a dynamic microphone, good headphones and a midi keyboard. That's really all you need if you think about it!
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Honest, dynamic, bold, sassy
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My work process all depends on which element of the song comes first. Whether it's the lyrics, melody, or the track, I build off of what comes first and create a song.
