Elly Kellner

Singer-songwriter, Backing-voc

Elly Kellner on SoundBetter

Creative, soft-hearted and receptive singer-songwriter, specialties: warm harmonies/backing vocals and creating melancholy songs. I play a 4-string guitar in special tuning. I worked with Grammy-winning producer Larry Klein (USA), Matthews Southern Comfort (UK) and Shannon Lyon (CAN).

For my solo work I play melodic sadcore and secret happy songs that feel like a soft, warm whisper in your ear. Serving up melancholy mixed with radical honesty, all on a guitar with just four strings. Lyrically I try to go beyond existing taboo, right into the core of fear and love. I have the firm belief that there must be others who’ll recognize the mutual experience and hopefully feel less alone as a result.

I am part of the Beyond Music Network and with 21 artists from all over the world we recorded an album (released in Sept. 2019) under the guidance of Grammy-winning producer Larry Klein (USA) at Studios La Fabrique in the South of France. I have also had the pleasure to join Iain Matthews and his Matthews Southern Comfort (UK) on tour and sang backing vocals for Shannon Lyon (CAN).
