Interview with awfthenMix
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I work as an intern in a 12 year studio in Times Sq. NY, where I learn from very experienced engineers.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital because its more convenient and on the go. Also, you can always go back and adjust digital as opposed to analog where you must commit to one sound.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Cross reference with industry favorites, learn from them and use those skills to give your project a professional quality.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Most important aspect of mixing to me is clarity. Being able to give you crisp, present vocals that blend well within the instrumental. That will be my first goal.. Then next is to give life, character and emotion to the overall track given its elements.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Ali, Hit Boy, No I.D, Pharrell Williams
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Hip Hop/Rap & Pop.
