Hi! I'm Pasi Koskinen the singer and songwriter of BM band AJATTARA. I have done lot of work with Jari and return to him over and over again. Why? Simply because of his knowledge and enthusiasm in every manners what comes to music. Jari Ypyä is true professional and wont never let you down even when everything seems to be impossible!
Jari has an amazing skill to find good quality of sound everywhere. As a professional classical musician, I find his ability to get the rich, natural sound out of traditional instruments amazing. He also has his unique style and way of doing things, which can easily be combined with the artist's wishes and visions. In his case, 1+1 makes a three.
Jari has mastered some of the records i have recorded and mixed and i have to say i am very pleased to work with him. He does , if needed, several versions of the songs until everyone is happy. I recommend!!!
Jari never stops amazing me with his exceptional skills in hearing songs as a whole and working very hard to get the best outcome. Whether it’s arrangements, mixing, mastering or creating soundscapes, the end result is simply brilliant. He's a multi-talented guy with a unique sense of style. Plus he's one lovable dude to work with!
I engineered and mixed Hedelmäpommi's Helevetin pellet EP in 2015. Jari did amazing job with mastering it and band was very happy with the end-result. He is great guy to work with and knows the tricks of the trade. Can warmly recommend him to different styles of music based on what I've heard his other works too.
I've been working with Jari on a number of projects, the main ones being Chaosweaver's "Enter the Realm of the Doppelgänger" (2012) and "Puppetmaster of Pandemonium" (2008). When it composing, arranging, producing, mixing or mastering, Jari's skills are unmatched. He's truly a wizard, a mad scientist and one helluva lovable guy mixed in one!
Calm and super-patient guy with a wide variety of knowledge and experience in different music genres. Working with him is easy and he likes to push you gently to do better as an artist.
Jari Ypyä has been my trustworthy mixing and mastering partner with my latest projects as Tytär´s upcoming album, "Synkkyyden ylistys" and W. Iivarinen solo-album, "Melankolia". He has amazing understanding of dynamics and high-end sounds. Total music-enthusiast! Coundn´t be more satisfied of his work with my projects. -W. Iivarinen, musician

A: I started by Commodore 64 in 1985, for coding basic programs which plays tunes for MOS chip. After that Amiga and soundtrackers.
