  1. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  2. A: I just love it. It’s music, what’s not to love

  3. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  4. A: Do you need headroom. If it’s not a 32bit file then yes I would love some headroom. For a safeguard and some space to work to get the best results possible. Things may be clipping and you are not aware

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: It’s easy or just a chain. No one project has ever been the same and that’s over 1000 masters so far….and it’s not easy..I can assure you, sometimes I wish it was.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Hire a mastering engineer shouldn’t be like a fast food restaurant. I want to develop a relationship with you and your music so I can help you sound your best

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  11. Q: How would you describe your style?

  12. A: Smooth and moving like a sheen of glassy water

  13. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  14. A: Sia...I love her music! What an amazing vocalist and song writer

  15. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  16. A: I’m not a producer anymore but but choosing the right sounds that work together and don’t crap all over each other is great one.

  17. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  18. A: For the last 5 years it has been predominantly pop and indie music but I’m very well known for my dance music mastering as well. That is my background of 20 years making music before I became a full time mastering engineer.

  19. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  20. A: Bringing warmth and vibe and dynamic’s back into digital recordings. Making tracks sound so good!

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I started as a music producer more than 20 years ago and then trained as a mastering engineer by chance. Now I started my own business after training for many years.

  23. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  24. A: I bring a sonic flavour of vibe, clarity and punch. I also love a very nice big warm bottom end And if it’s super loud you want then I can deliver!

  25. Q: What's your typical work process?

  26. A: First is always listening to a song that comes in. I need to get a vibe and from it and a feeling of what it may or may it need to become a polished master. Then I’ll dive in and check for any errors that may need addressing before mastering begins.

  27. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  28. A: My mastering studio is a mix a carefully selected gear that gives me the sonic signature that I want and love. It’s a great sounding room that I love to be in everyday!

  29. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  30. A: All forms of creative music and film inspire me. I love anything sound and music related

  31. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  32. A: Analog Mastering and stem mastering
