Akın Orbay is a composer, producer and arranger based in Turkey, working in the visual media world as well as record production in the studio. His work aims to enhance any given story with an out of the box musical approach, whether it's for a film, TV show, or an artist’s self expression. He studied at the Berklee College of Music, where he was awarded the Thrive Scholarship during his studies and had arrangements featured in department concerts including the CWP Rhythms and Frequencies Student Concert. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, receiving degrees from the Contemporary Writing and Production and Professional Music department. After graduation, he worked with Kelly Mac extensively to provide music for the sync space, and afterwards for film and brand campaigns. His compositions have been featured on various platforms, including Netflix, HBO, and Amazon Prime through several agencies. He composed music with Kelly for the documentary ‘Donyale Luna’ produced by HBO and featured on the Sheffield DocFest in 2023, and ‘The Commuted’, which won the Audience Award and the Louisiana Documentary Award at its premiere at the New Orleans Film Festival in 2023.
