Interview with Blaze Ali
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: A lil bit of both does the soul good
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: That I will push to do what’s in the best interest of the song!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started music at a young age. It’s all I’ve ever known...so I just feel blessed that I’ve been able to make a living out of it since a teenager
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: I wouldn’t describe it, you just have to hear it
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Kanye West. I’ve been a huge fan since a kid
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is MORE!!! There’s beauty in simplicity and space
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: All types. RnB/Pop/NeoSoul/HipHop
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Producing fire ass tracks lol
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Anything it needs! Not to much, not to little...whatever does the song justice is what I aim for.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Usually make sure that there’s a solid song concept first. From there, I make a draft including the main elements of what I think the track should sound like. (Once client is happy) Record vocals, add adlibs, bgvs and all the final production bells and whistles.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Pharrell, Kanye West, Drake, Thundercat
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
