Want to sound like the 90's Europop band, Aqua? I can help you do that. From 1980's-inspired Hi-NRG to 1990's Eurodance through to Today's Pumpin' Synth-Pop, I can help you Evolve With The Music!
Hi! I'm a music producer from Lancaster, Pennsylvania that grew up on European Dance Music and Teen Pop. It's been a dream of mine to be able to produce these melodic and fun styles. Now that I can, I'd like to collaborate with you if THAT's the sound you're looking for!
What do I do? I put together a great production, write catchy melodies and assist with song lyrics. Vocal editing and pitch-correction is no problem. I can also mix the song so it's ready for mastering.
Why should you choose me to produce for you? One of the unique things about me is that I've taught myself how to produce this music. I never went to school to learn production based on a curriculum that wasn't my style. Instead, I've spent the last 14 years teaching myself how to create a special niche of EDM that has come out of Europe over the last 4 decades.
I lived in San Francisco from 2010-2019. During that time, I was introduced to the Hi-NRG Disco music scene. I studied at the California Institute of Integral Studies where I completed the Certificate Program, "Sound, Voice, and Music Healing". I've also worked with an indie music label in the Bay Area.
I'm looking forward to discussing your music ideas with you. If you think I could be of assistance with your next project, contact me at the top of the page and let's get started!

Interview with MusicByJMCX
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: (If they're a songwriter...) What do you like to write about? How has songwriting changed your life on a personal level?
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Definitely my VPS Avenger synth, Antares Autotune... I find it entertaining. I'll take my MIDI keyboard since I love to play the keys. Also my AKG headphones, which are fantastic. The last piece would definitely have to be the computer to tie it all together.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Italo-disco and Italodance projects.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Being creative and doing work that is meaningful!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: The best music we can do together will be meaningful and relatable.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I was enamored with keyboards since early childhood. I started computer music production when I was 14 years old and released my first CD in early 2006 with a couple other artists I collaborated with. From there, I began working with a record label in the SF Bay Area. I moved to San Francisco in 2010 where I checked out the nightclub scene. My interest in the nightclub scene wavered as my interest in Sound Healing grew. At that same time, I was producing Chillout music with the record label. After that, I started exploring songwriting (lyrics) and diving deeper into writing original music. Songwriting and writing in general felt really beneficial and helped me connect even deeper with music. In 2019, I decided to move back to my hometown and continue my work there.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Influenced by Eurodance, Hi-NRG, and Trance. Melodic and bittersweet.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'd like to work with a couple producers from the past 2 or 3 decades and see how they put together some great pieces of music!
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Be fully immersed in the flavor of the song. Don't go too far down the trail on the details. Stay focused on the overall flavor.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Dance-Pop, Trance, Italo-disco
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I've always felt my goal was to make the song sound beautiful, so I like to choose sounds that feel emotional to me.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: My role as a producer is a combination of a computer musician and music songwriter. I'll generally arrange the music, select the instrumentation, edit, and mix. The client will usually have vocals to a song that they want produced, or they will write and record vocals to a production that I already have.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Custom PC w/ Intel i7, PreSonus Studio One 4 Professional, VPS Avenger, ReFX Nexus, Spectrasonics Omnisphere, Vengeance Plugins, Fab Filter Plugins, 2CAudio Reverbs, Waves Plugins, Melodyne, Autotune EFX
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Brad Grobler of BIG Productions http://soundbetter.com/profiles/4965-brad-grobler-(big-productions). He's been involved in some of my favorite Dance music projects (Dance Nation, Becca).
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Dom Toulon (CAPP Records), Brad Grobler (Dance Nation, Becca), Larry Pignagnoli (Whigfield, Benny Benassi, Ann Lee), Manuel Schleis (vengeance-sound.com)
