This was my first experience with someone else mixing my music and I'm super happy to have chosen Paris.

I had concerns going in as I'm used to tweaking every little detail myself but Paris was patient with revisions and with my wordy feedback :)

Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The record "High Place Phenomenon" from the band "Instant Boner". I did the Mixing, Recording and Production. It's a huge project that blends many elements, it has hard hitting songs, ballads and prog tracks up to 20minutes. A lot of sounds and styles in one record!
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Always something new!

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Analog sound and uniqueness and digital precision and possibility

A: We are going to work on your song as much as we need to!

Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: How can they trust me, my answer, other than my portfolio I offer a sample before we begin!
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it doesn't need gear and a studio, well, it does.... Sound treatment is "gear" plugins are gear and someone that can do it in the level that a pro does means that it's his job and he needs to get paid for it!

A: What he needs of course and how many songs we are doing!
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Name the tracks please and have every track in time with each other!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Neve Portico 542, Tegeler Audio Manufactur Creme, My Zen studio+, My espresso machine, My AC!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been a "pro" for 2 years. It's a career decision made 100% out of love for music
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Relaxed and streamlined
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Every artist that is invested in his/hers music! If someone doesnt have his/hers heart in a song/album it never works.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Louder is not better, always "always level match"
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Heavy Rock and Metal. I laso do a lot of Hip Hop folk jazz. Check my samples to get a taste.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My ability to see a tsong musically first and then technically
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My taste and musical expirience! I am also a musician and I first listen the track like one and then as an engineer. If you listen to my samples you will notice that I work on a lot of genres....
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Color coding, naming, cleaning unwanted noise and then mixing!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a Hybrid system, most of the work is done in the digital domain and I then use on the whole mix an analog chain. This way I am fast on revisions and also have "the analog sound". My room is treated really well, I have 4 massive basstraps and many other sound treatment to get it as flat as possible!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Many artists all the time, there is no "golden age" in music, good music might not always be popular but it keeps coming out! My favourite engineers are Michael Brauer, Bob Clearmountain, Andy Wallace, Chris & Tom lord-Alge(they are both awesome!!) and many more!!
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mixing and Mastering services and most often these services combined. I also do a lot of editing and tuning vocals(mostly I get asked to tune with melodyne). I also regularly offer "RE-AMPING" because I have 3great tube amps and the means to record them!
