Interview with New Era
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I provide top-tier quality sound for your music and I'm incredibly detailed oriented when it comes to audio. In other words I mix and master sound to perfection.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The two producers that I am inspired by the most are Metro Boomin and London on the Track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Computer: iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) DAW: Pro Tools 12 Audio Interface: Universal Audio Apollo Twin MK2 DUO Studio Monitors: Yamaha HS7s Condenser Mic: Neumann TLM103 Headphones: Beats Pro
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring quality to every project I work on. I aim for sound perfection and bring out the best parts of your vocal range.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Meshing the vocals to an instrumental perfectly
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Hip-Hop, Trap, Rap, R&B
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: While I can name many big time artists I would like to work with, I'd rather work with up and coming artists. There is so much talent out there that never gets the light of day and its unfortunate. I want to help bring platforms to artists that are serious about their craft and clearly have the drive to strive far.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Send me AS MUCH material that you have per song, even what you would consider outtakes (or mistakes). A lot of times those "mistakes" weren't mistakes at all and are perfect for secondary vocals and/or ad-libs in the background.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Time and creative freedom.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I aim for audio clarity and perfection. I will mix your project until you are 100% satisfied.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I am currently working with a gifted up and coming singer based in Atlanta GA. We met about a year ago and he has entrusted me to be his go-to engineer; we have over 20 songs finished so far. Send me a message and I would be more than glad to show you our work.
