There are a lot of skills underneath my umbrella of being a Sound Engineer & Vocal Producer:
1. Vocal Engineer - Recording the vocals
2. Vocal Producer - getting the best performance and helping to create backgrounds/harmonies; adding creative ideas vocally or technologically
3. Vocal Editor - comp (create the best take from all the takes), tune, and align vocals (correct timing)
4. Vocal Mixer - balance levels, EQ, compress, add all other effects
If you need a Vocal Engineer, you can book a studio through me and I will work with you there.
If you already have the vocals recorded, you can send me sessions or the stems of the vocals to edit, produce, and mix (no need to ever be there in person if you can't).
I am also a demo singer. If you need me to create harmonies and backgrounds, I can do that too. I am a classically trained singer who has experience in the Pop, R&B, and Jazz genres.

Alissa is a wizard! I worked with a few other recording engineers before but her approach and ability to make you feel comfortable in the studio puts her on the top of my list. She has a great ear for music which lent itself wonderfully whenever my vocals were a little off. She's top notch, I highly recommend Alissa's services!
Alissa was the first vocal producer I had ever worked with in a session and now I don’t think I can go back! She helps you carefully craft each part of your song while you’re in the booth. She pushed me out of my comfort zone as well as made sure we were getting the perfect comp on each line of the song. It makes such a difference with the output when you have someone like Alissa helping you along the way! 10/10 would recommend for any artist at any level!
Working with Alissa was a great experience. She is very professional and punctual which goes a long way. She’s also amazing at bringing out the best vocals out of the artist. Very easy to work with and reliable.
We did several sessions with Alissa and it was amazing. Her professionalism and helpful tips left us feeling great. She's very thorough and hands down the best vocal producer/ engineers we've ever worked with.
Alissa is patient, brings good energy and is extremely professional, delivered a high quality product in a very short time, super reliable 100% recomend
Alissa brings great energy to studio sessions. She is attention detail orientated. Wether you need help bringing your songs vision to life through vocal production or just a chopped mix, she is the one you want to work with! Highly recomend.
One of the best vocal engineers I have worked with.
Interview with Alissa Faratro
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please ask questions and communicate as much as you can! The more information you have to share, the better. If you don't know how to explain what you want, show me by giving me references!
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Lizzo. Because that session would be the most fun ever
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: At home, my setup is quite simple but very efficient. I record vocals using my AKG 414 Xlii matched pair, which goes into the Universal Audio Apollo Twin interface. I also have a Native Instruments keyboard.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: On a daily basis, I work at the Secret Genius Studio in Los Angeles. Different artists, songwriters and producers come in each day and I will work with them depending on what they need to do. Most commonly, I am recording vocals for demos or for upcoming releases.
