I am an award winning music producer and mixing engineer having produced a number 1 rock & metal album alongside gaining multiple BBC radio 1 plays and millions of streams.

Specialising in rock, and alternative music I have a unique style attributed to growing up loving heavy music whilst then learning from some of the top professionals in the pop world. I started out at the legendary Chapel Studios and from there went to work and learn with Grammy Winning Producer Ian Dowling (Adele, Kasabian, The Kooks).

I have produced for artists such as the Heavy Music Award winning group As December Falls, The Hype, Led By Lanterns and many more. Whilst also working with artists such as Frank Carter & the Rattlesnakes, Danny Bryant & 65daysofstatic.

Interview with Alex Copp

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Started out as assistant engineer at Chapel Studios UK and from there progressed into engineering for Grammy winning producer Ian Dowling. Now I work freelance.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Modern and polished. I can also achieve more raw sounds if required but I naturally gravitate to a very polished sound.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Finding what makes an artist unique and bringing that to the forefront of the production. I also pride myself on almost all clients becoming repeat customers and building a relationship with each of them!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Heavier side of rock and metal. Indie and whatever else I take a liking to!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A unique attitude to best compliment the artists vision of the song. Nothing is out of bounds in order to get the sound in our heads when creating a track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Freelance, I have a small mix room at home but when producing and engineering like to travel visiting different studios around the country and world.
