With over a decade of experience in the industry, I am Elijah. My passion for music production began when I was young, and I went on to study Audio Engineering to pursue my dream in this field.
Since then, I have worked with numerous clients across a range of genres, including Rock, Pop and Hip-Hop to produce high-quality mixes that stand out from the crowd. My approach to mixing is rooted in the belief that the mix must truly capture the artist's intention and emotion.
Over the years, I have developed a keen attention to detail, ensuring that every element of the song is perfectly balanced, from the low-end all the way up to the high-end. I am also adept at incorporating modern mixing techniques to ensure that every mix I produce has a unique and fresh sound.
I pride myself on my ability to understand an artist's vision and work closely with them to achieve their desired sound. This means taking time to communicate with clients, truly understanding their vision, and making suggestions that help bring their ideas to life.

Well, this dude is the kind of a mix man I would wish for. I was fortunate enough to reach him out and work with him and I would definitely continue working with him. He has professional attitudes and works for the artists' convenience. He mixed our song 9 times, as far as I can remember, until we got what we wanted, and he never complained once. He precisely attended to our vision of the song and delivered it.
He's a responsible man, and I would definitely recommend him.

Whoah! Elijah's mix it's exactly what we wanted! It sounds groovy and each instrument can be perfectly distinguished from each other, plus it all goes well with the vocal. I will totally recommend everyone trying out a collaboration with this guy!

Elijah is one of the best sound engineers I've ever known. It is truly pleasure to work with him, because he feels music precisely - in the same way as musicians with whom he works. He helped us with mini recordings and outdoor events, and he did it perfectly as a professional. Besides Elijah is very polite, kind and cool guy.

Elijah helped us a lot as a recording engineer. He recorded our live session: mic placements and tracking process couldn't be any more perfect.

We worked with Elijah on the track (mix+master). Everything sounds good! Elijah makes changes and edits fast and quality. If you are a young producer and you aren't indifferent to your sound, i recommended to work with Elijah

Interview with Ilia Zhundrikov

  1. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  2. A: When do you want to start on the project? What is your budget? How many songs do you want me to work on? How soon do you need me to get to work? Do you have a demo, or, preferably, a rough mix? What is your reference track? Where can I hear music you already released?

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: I've been doing this thing for 8 years. In the beggining, during my audio engineering training, I started doing small gigs in clubs and studios, such as helping with durty work of coiling cables and such, administrating the studio, taking small part in the productions.

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: Matthew Bellamy. I love how creative his records are.

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Take frequent brakes to let your ears rest, never work at deafening levels.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: Whether I'm mixing or recording I usually split the process in three stages. 1) Preparation stage I go through all the tracks I recieve, make sure they are at least a decent quality and don't need anything else, besides mixing. After that I import them in to my template and do some final touches, as trimming the silence and setting up markers for different part of a song. 2) Mixing stagee I mix. Always starts off with listening to a demo/rough, client's refference track and my own reference track. Then I start off with balancing the tracks, when I start to get a feling that i can't get anything more done with volume balance i start to use EQ and compression and after that i start working with effects: reverbs, delays, harmonizers and such. 3) Sanity check After I'm done mixing the song i return to my mix in a couple of days, to check if i got everything right, or there is some work to be done yet to get me satisfied.

  11. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  12. A: I mix on headphones atm, my main pair is Sennheiser HD600 (made in Ireland), B-pair is Beyerdynamics DT990 Pro Limited Edition. I love my HD600 for an incredeble transperency and mix translation, while DT990's reveal me some of the detail in low end I miss in Seennh's.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: I mix music and record music.

  15. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  16. A: I will treat your art with the respect that it deserves.

  17. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  18. A: Making music.

  19. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  20. A: "Have you ever worked on my style of music?" I always reply honestly, and even if i get the project where i'm not very experienced in I always have friends and professionals who can nudge me in the right direction.

  21. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  22. A: It's not the gear, it's your ear. You can have the most vintage-expencive-best-sounding-les-paul-strat-tele-vintage-mic-anything in the world and nobody won't even know about it, because people listen to music, not look at it.

  23. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  24. A: Communication. You can have the most cracking snare in the world, but it still has to comply with clients vision.

  25. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  26. A: Continuity and musicality. As a quick example before i touch any tools i'm creating a balance between each instrument, while trying to highlight the groove and feel of a song.

  27. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  28. A: I love both! If i get the project that has enough budget i usually go to Mosfilm's studio B, where they have SSL4000 G set up. However, working in the box has a lot of it's own benefits, and really the only drawback that it has for me - is workflow. My favorite part about analog gear is how fast it allows you to work and the unique "flavour" each analog unit has.

  29. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  30. A: Have your tracks named properly and do a rough mix.

  31. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  32. A: My pair of HD600 Sure SM58 Neumann U87 UAD Apollo x4 Laptop with Pro Tools

  33. Q: How would you describe your style?

  34. A: Lound and clear.

  35. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  36. A: Christ Lord-Alge, Andrew Schepps and Philippe Zdar.
