Hi, I'm an artist/producer that specializes in pop music and its sub-genres (indie-pop, RnB, hip-hop, pop-rock). My main focus is providing artists the support they need; which is their development and guiding them within their journey while at it; that is the reason I created Soundprise. An online music production platform that is for the artist.
Soundprise is your online music production platform, focused on your artist development and journey.
The music industry is evolving at a rapid pace, and it’s hard as an artist to thrive and find your place in all the noise and changes. It can feel overwhelming and confusing navigating in this new era of the music industry, and that’s where Soundprise comes in.
Our aim is to work with and develop artists, not just through their music, but also their career. We want to be a part of our client’s journey. We understand the importance of artist development and how its values can achieve maximum results for one’s career.
And that is the goal of Soundprise. To provide YOU with the tools and guidance you need as an artist; so that you can equip yourself to have the best possible odds at having a successful career within music.
We offer FREE advice through 1-1 coaching, blogs, and videos on how to develop and be the best artist and musician you can be.

Interview with Jonathan Milanes
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The first client I ever worked with started out as somebody just doing covers and using other people's background music; till I told him he can be more with his talent if only he acts and believes it. 1 year later now making his own music, he's released an EP which I produced, touring around his hometown, and currently building his career step by step :)
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Building my online music production platform 'Soundprise', to guide and support artists and musicians around the world.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: They will be creating something that is beyond them
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I'm doing music!
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can I use this track for a non-profit video?
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Who they are, their influences, what their end goal is and where they are currently at as an artist.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Everything can be broken down to a process. Which means your vision can be a reality if we take the steps necessary for its achievement.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: acoustic guitar, phone, pen, paper, water dispenser ;)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I'm an artist/producer just wanting to make good music and a career out of this :) I've been a musician since age 13, so that's about 13 years now (as of 2019).
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Melody is everything AKA = the voice
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: As many as possible! The more artists I can help, the better I feel.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Lately I've been producing somewhere in between pop and hip-hop (Ariana Granda vibes)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I care for the artists I work with. I want to be a part of their journey, not just a one-off work for hire.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Vision. And I do this by getting to know the artist and their song idea and support that in all aspects. I like to think of myself as a bridge for the artist to cross-over so they can get to their end goal.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Client reaches out and shares their project details (reference track, budget, timeline etc.), and I start working on the track, and we go back and forth in terms of revisions till the client is 110% happy with the final track :)
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: More than enough to create great music. It's not the gear, it's the ear!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: As I listen to so much music and I take inspiration from as many things as possible, it's hard to pinpoint. I think there is beauty in everything and everyone.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I work mainly in the pop genre, but I am eclectic in terms of my influences and my skillset. I produce in genres such as: pop-rock, indie-pop, RnB, Hip-hop. I take and derive the best elements from all the genres I listen to and implement those into my productions; which make my productions have a certain uniqueness to them.
