Small and Independent Engineer looking to give your project individual care and attention that bigger producers won't. generous revisions, affordable and good attitude! With over 5 years of production experience, education from Berklee College Of Music, and production credits from many local Boston Bands as well as online Clients.
Hi, my name's David and I'd love to work on your project with you!
I believe that with my experience, equipment, and attitude I can take your project to the next level. I have worked in professional studios such as Phoenix Down (engineer John Scott: Lil baby, Crumb), got my education in audio engineering at Berklee College of Music, and have mixed and mastered productions for local Boston bands (The Moonwatch, Owsleys Owls, The Chops) as well as online clients.
I will give your project the care and attention that it deserves! Having worked in professional music environments, I have first hand experience with engineers that won't give small artists the time of day. With many clients coming through the door, a need to get projects done quickly, and offers from bigger artists that will get more attention big time studio engineers are constantly phoning in their work. I promise you I will give you the time of day that other engineers won't and make sure that your project gets the individual attention and care that it deserves!
My current studio has been developed over 3 years and is Acoustically treated and furnished with all the gear I need to deliver a professional Production. As an artist I have played in a few bands and played around Boston and the New England area as a guitarist and singer.

David mixed 6 songs to our band. I was happy to found David because cost of mixing/mastering was totally reasonable for young man's purse. But it wasn't only reason. I just sensed that David took us seriously all the way from beginning. I hope I will work with him again in the future. Thank you!

As a young man, who is making his first album with a band which has been together over three years, David Rubin is a great choice. Our music needed a mixing engineer who takes it to the next level - but also seriously. With David it has been possible.
David understands always what kind of vibe I'm looking for every song I deliver to him. With David I don't need to be affraid to say if I'm not happy with a first version or with a second or third. I highly recommend this friendly dude!

David is fantastic, super professional outstanding and gifted, always goes the extra distance to make sure things come out perfectly, highly recommend!
He made me a really good mix and I didn't even had to wait that long. He's very easy to work with, highly recommend
I connected with David through reddit. I started a very amateur recording project with my friends. It was in a very raw state when I handed over the stems to David. He not only created a really nice, balanced sounding mix, but even took some creative liberties (with my permission and encouragement!) and created a really put together sounding song! I appreciate his work and would work with again.
I had 2 tracks mastered by David and he did an awesome job. Highly recommended.
David was great to work with! Really quick turnaround time. I hope to use his services again and would highly recommend.
Great mastering work. Reccomend 100%
Interview with david rubin
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring the mind of a producer and a musician to every song I mix. A mixer needs to be able to render musical ideas out of a mix, not just by adding effects, but by listening to and interpreting the song. It's essential to get out of a technical headspace and think: What is this trying to achieve? And then come out of that and render that vision. I know I've finished a mix when I feel that I'm moved by the music.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Generally, I do mixing and mastering for clients. I have recorded some projects in the past as well, but I think I operate best when I'm mixing or mastering.
