Robby Love on SoundBetter

Hey I am Singer/ Songwriter Robby Love looking to collaborate with artists around the world to bring more love to the R&B genre. Message me to go over the details. lets make music!

Chicago based artist Robby Love has been exploring his passion for creating music since 2001. Inspired my love and romance, the self taught singer, songwriter and producer used his talent as a voice to guide him through an introverted childhood.  Robby has since written and produced for a variety of local Rap and R&B artists while finding his own music gaining the respect of WGCI and TuneCore personnel.  Today, Robby Love creates music to inspire chivalry and revive the passion for love that seems to have gone missing in mainstream R&B.

Interview with Robby Love

  1. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  2. A: I am currently running Logic X Pro and I incorporate Maschine 2 into my production workflow. I got my start in beat production on Fruity Loops and spent the last ten years with Pro Tools but I am always open to new platforms as I believe the brand does not make the artist, the artist makes the brand. With that being said, any platform that allows me to get into a creative zone is good in my books.

  3. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  4. A: I've pulled inspiration from a handful of artists depending on the creative work at hand. For songwriting, a lot of my inspiration came from eminem and his mastery of wordplay. Being an R&B writer, our preferred topics differ but we share a love for the power of words and how to combine them for poetic storytelling. My production style has been influenced by Timbaland and Dr. Dre. They were the producers I imagined working with coming up as an artist and it shows in my productions. As a singer, I grew up jamming to Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Donnel Jones and R. Kelly. There are artists like Justin Timberlake and Ne-yo have also make music to inspire but ultimately I'm always open for inspiration from legendary and upcoming artists as well.

  5. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  6. A: I collaborate with artists on the Songwriting and and Production process of making a hit record. Whether it be fine tuning an artists lyrics, writing a song in full, providing licensed beats or creating a custom beat, I am all for assisting to ensure that the music becomes or exceeds what the artist intends.
