Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: To be able to get songs to finish line while honouring the creative vision the artist set out to achieve.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have worked on multiple genres including Jazz (Moses Boyd), Indie-Rock (Johnny LLoyd of Tribes, The Postelles, Tugboat Captain), R&B (Poppy Ajudha), Hip Hop (Mezmah)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Your vision as an artist is always at the heart of what the mix + production is trying to achieve. Collaborating while ensuring the song goes beyond what you had set out to achieve.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My mixing studio has all the tools needed to create super warm, crystal clear mixes. Both in the box with UAD, Waves, FabFilter, Vahalla plug-ins and more as well as outboard compressors, gain, SSL Preamps and more.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Nigel Godrich (Radiohead), Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Vampire Weekend), J Dilla, Stevie Wonder, Blake Mills (Laura Marling)
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Creating warm and full mixes that ensure your music shines in the streaming services. I include mastering on all mixes for first-time clients. I also produce tracks which include session instrumental work on guitar, bass, piano, woodwinds and more.
