The vibe is most important (Bob Power). I'll get your tunes to the finish line and ready for the world. I have over 9 years of experience in Mixing and Mastering and 25 years producing music. Whether it's Techno, Tech-House, EDM, Bass, Chillstep, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Trap, Ambient, Psytrance, Dreampop or anything in between, I'm up for the task.
If you've got the same passion that I do for music, I know you want your records to shine, and provide the impact they're capable of. That's what I'm here for. I can help you get your music across the finish line and ready for the world. My goal is to enhance the vibe that's already present in your tunes, and bring them up to industry standards.
The characteristics I aim for in mixing is depth, punch and clarity. Finding the right space for your sounds and vocals is crucial, and adding subtle (or full-on) trippy and immersive ear candy is something I enjoy very much.
Communication is important to me, and understanding what you want (and don't want) is a vital part of the process for me.
I can also provide instrumentals within Hip-Hop and Electronic music (boom-bap, west coast, trip-hop, dancehall, dub, bass, electronica, edm, techno, progressive house, etc.).
For larger projects (10+ songs), we can work out a special deal.

Chris recently mastered my upcoming 5-track EP, and working with him was a pleasure! He communicated his timeline and recommendations up front, and he was quick to respond to any concerns I had. It's clear from his work that he's incredibly skilled and draws from a diverse set of inspirations. He knew how to create the sound I wanted based on some of my favorite artists. I highly recommend him for your next project, and I look forward to working with him again!

Interview with Christian A. Welde
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I like to think I bring clarity / enhancement and soul. Music is something alive, and I want to keep it that way. I like to keep dynamic range while simultaneously pushing the envelope. It depends upon the style of course, but in general my goal is to take the original idea of a track and enhance it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When it comes to mixing, I usually start with a listening session to get the feel of the song, and to figure out what the main focus/elements are. I then start sculpting everything around the focal element, creating a nice, rich balance and ensuring organic blend of all elements.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Satisfaction guaranteed.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That you're paying for an hour or two of work. You don't. You pay for years and years of experience, failing, learning, failing some more. There's a reason I'm bald.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are your musical influences similar to the current project?
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly everything in electronic music and Hip-Hop & urban.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Composition, Production, Mixing and Mastering

A: I have a small studio setup, running Windows 10 on a desktop PC @ 3,6 gHz, 16GB RAM, and Samsung SSD drives. Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Using references has been a gamechanger for me.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: Nikey Vital: "The Diary II - Detour". I was the mixing and mastering engineer on this project. I also contributed an instrumental, and did some minor production on the record.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I like working in the box. When it comes to quality, I don't think analog is necessarily better, it's just different. I really enjoy the sound of the plugins I use, and having everything in the box makes it more convenient and easier to expand.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be clear about what you're looking to achieve with a project, to avoid too much back and forth. Provide some examples if you're looking for a specific sound.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been writing, producing and performing music since 1998, and performing mixing and mastering services for others since 2014.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Continuously experimenting and learning new stuff, getting to hear new music and being able to push myself to improve the quality of my work.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Mostly it's mixing, mastering, compositions or ghostwriting
