Mixing and mastering for extreme Metal (Black/Doom/Death Metal) mostly, but also Rock, Jazz, Blues, Punk, Folk and Ambient.

  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: 15 years on and off

  3. Q: How would you describe your style?

  4. A: 90's extreme metal meets modern production techniques

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: Emperor, because of their complex sound. It would be a challenge to make their complex arrangements sound powerful, clear and intelligible without loosing agression.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: 1. Check out the band's previous material to get an idea of their sound 2. Listen to the material to mix or master 3. Make a first mix or master and send to the band 4. Get feedback, make adjustment, send a revised version and repeat until we're statisifed (10 revisions maximum)

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: Mac + Logic Pro X + Antelope Discrete 8 SC. Monitoring on Dynaudio BM5A, Yamaha HS50M, Sennheiser HD600, SOny MDR-7506 and Beyer Dynamic DT770.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: Pytten from Grieghallen studio, the 70's heavy rock sound (Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc), Bowie

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Natural-sounding but powerful sound

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: Balance, weight, and punch

  18. A: Extreme metal

  20. A: Producing Metal albums (tracking, mixing, mastering)

Delivered files for MIX: 24bit Wav, VINYL/TAPE MASTERING: 2 files (sides A-B) in 24 bit Wav + PDF track list, CD MASTERING: DDP or individual tracks in 16bit/44.1khz Wav. Maximum 10 revisions.
