Hy, my name is defrain and I am a sounddesigner from Salzburg, Austria. I studied multimediaarts at the university of applied sciences in Salzburg. In 2011 I won an electronic music prize called "Elektronikland Salzburg". So far I produced music and sounddesign for short-movies, documentaries, commercials, installations, games & animations, etc.

I started recording instruments and producing beats in 2006. When I got into a university for multimedia arts I tried to work on all kinds of projects to create a diverse audio portofolio. During my study I did an internship at a recording studio in Vienna, called "Blautöne" (http://www.blautoene.at/). So far I made music and soundtracks for exhibitions and art installations, live-perfomances, short-movies, commercials, documentaries, games & animations. In 2011 I won the "Elektronikland Salzburg" prize for electronic music with a track entirely made of machine sounds from a carpentry. In the same year I won a statewide mediaarts prize with an audiovisual live-performance called "Di-a-log", where we built and played our own instruments.
