I had the chance to work with some of the greatests brazilian artists, producers and engineers since I started 4 years ago.
Some of my best mentors were/are David Corcos (Capital Inicial, Dinho Ouro Preto, Planet Hemp, laFayette), Mauricio Cersosimo (Skank, Juliana Aquino, Lobão) and Roy Cicala (Aerosmith, Kiss, Alice Cooper).

Distance isn't a problem. Any song can be mixed, mastered or produced using all the tools internet con offer.
All songs to be mixed need to have the audio files starting in zero.
