It has been great working with Noël! He's an extremely knowledgeable engineer and helped me take my project to the next level. Highly recommend.
Noel and I have been friends for a while but it's only recently that we've worked together. I release an EP on Rekids under my Mandingo guise and he did fantastic job with the mixdowns for the release. Super knowledgeable and patient, Noel knows his shit and I highly recommend him.
My name is Pedro Turra aka Click Box & Dro-P. I just did a release on Superfreq and he did the master from my EP, sounds super FAT! He's also really fast. Incredible!! I also know him for a long time because his music, I'm a big fan from his productions! His amazing producer and sound engineer! I recommend him!
Pedro Turra aka Click Box & Dro-P.
Noël has mastered 90% of the Superfreq Records releases in 2015 & also the first 3 releases lined up for this year & for us the results are fantastic. We're left with very powerful masters of house & techno that really cut through in my DJ sets making the Superfreq releases amongst the most powerful out there. Highly recommended. Mr.C
There's too few enough characters allowed here to really express myself in my last post. Having been making electronic music for 30 years, having a #1 pop hit, 6 Billboard Dance hits in a row & been UK songwriter of the year 1993 with The Shamen, I've never found making music so easy as it is with Noël. His prices are too cheap though. Mr.C
My name is Richard West aka Mr.C. I've been working with Noël on pretty much everything I've released in the last 2 years & he's quite incredible. His programming, sound design, production, mixing & mastering are all spot on. He's extremely easy to communicate with & really understands my needs. I really can't recommend him highly enough. Mr.C
I just got mixes of my new EP back from Noël Jackson and they sound awesome! He is highly recommended if any of you need his (truly) magic touch.
Interview with Noël Jackson
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I guarantee that you will be more than just "happy" with my work - I promise 100% complete and utter satisfaction.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both! Mixing on a summing mixer and using analog hardware provides a great sound, however many adjustments and digital plugins provide a level of precision and recall that a purely analog process can not deliver.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I get to make the world better every day by making great music and helping artists realize their true vision. Every person in the world can be impacted by just one single song, and it may change their life for the better forever. That is a true superpower.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That my work will be like any other producer or engineer. Engineering and production are an art and my work and approach are very unique as well as efficient.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: My career path went from playing piano at a very young age, developing computer software in my teens and early 20s which pushed me into music production and mixing for the past 10 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: My style, in one word, is impactful. My productions *always* pull listeners in and my mixes leave a song standing strong.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Music that makes you move. Dance, pop, hip-hop, EDM, techno, and house.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Communication is my greatest skill; this allows me to understand what an artist needs, and lets me set expectations on the resources that requires.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Every song I work on provides the right type of mood and communication with the listener. Through a very diverse musical education, any song I work on always comes out with impact and clarity that communicates the artist's vision to the listener without compromise.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My process starts with understanding the client's vision both from a career and a sonic standpoint. I spend time listening to their needs so that I can quickly deliver an end result that adheres to their desired sonic goals.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is an extremely accurately, professionally designed and built studio, with only 3 dBA of divergence across the frequency spectrum. This provides an environment for quick and honest mixing and production.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Producing, mixing, and co-producing to help a client realize their true vision.
