In his early teens years his sister introduced him to Oasis, Blur, The Verve which definitely shaped his singer/songwriting style at the beginning. JMSEY is one of the most talented and authentic humans I’ve ever been around. I’ve had the distinct pleasure of collaborating with JMSEY on multiple projects - he is an insanely dynamic vocalist, writer, and multi-instrumentalist who is truly invested and committed to bringing the best out of everyone he works with. Even more impressive than his musical repertoire is his devotion to detail. He’s able to hold himself and everyone around him to the highest standard while making the process fun and highly rewarding at the same time. Every musical space is enriched & elevated by JMSEY’s presence.
JMSEY is one of these most versatile acts I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He is a quick learner, so he's apt to adding unique qualities to traditional and non-traditional soundscapes. On the performance end, that versatility has proven him someone who knows how to modify, condense, or even expand a stage show without sacrificing the integrity of the work at hand. On top of it all, he pays great attention to detail and is very professional and timely.
JMSEY is a heavy influencer in every group he’s apart of. He not only is a musically talented individual but he goes beyond the norm and does what many artists strive to do which is be different and unique in their own way.
JMSEY has good strong understanding on how to navigate his own solo and collaborative projects. Musically & conceptually. Strong vision and professionalism makes it so easy for one to move and create with him.
JMSEY is a stand up dude and a hell of a musician. His passion and dedication to his craft come through in every project he touches. He’s professional, honest, and gifted. 5 Stars!
I originally met JMSEY when we were contestants on 'The Voice'. The dude can flat out sing. We later worked on various projects where he served as co-song writer, guitarist, and lyricist. Positive, professional, and dead serious about creating strong material. Solid addition.
JMSEY's deep understanding of storytelling along with his wealth of musical knowledge and abilities make him a master collaborator on all fronts. An artist and a professional.
James was the main act for a recent show called OFFLINE hosted by HOF, he was a joy to listen to and watch. Everything from sound quality to the preparations with his visuals. His attention to detail sold the show as a whole experience. Throughout his performance, his personality is what really sold me to be a fan. I can’t wait to see James live again. He’s one of those artists where you genuinely wanna be their friend after seeing them perform.
JMSEY is an incredible collaborator in the studio. Talented vocalist, songwriter and can help bring creative musical textures to your record via multiple instruments.
