Joe Ruks is a Kenyan artist, born in the capital, Nairobi. He was raised in different cities in Kenya and grew up among a number of communities with varying cultures, which played a role in the diversity of his music.
As a child he loved listening to music and singing along to his favorite artists' music. Through a lot of exposure, Joe Ruks found his passion in music and started his career as a DJ. Shortly after, he became a producer and that eventually made him start producing his own songs.
His first official song was "On My Way Up" which has an uplifting effect. A great song to listen to when you need encouragement in your journey to greatness.
