I am an Oslo-based singer, specializing in folk, singer-songwriter, country and acoustic styles. I'm also good with pop and electronic music, and I've done several projects with metal bands in Norwegian. I can sing in several languages (English, Norwegian, Norse, basic French and Spanish) and I do both lead vocals and harmony/layers on request.
Credits include Taboo from Black Eyed Peas, Våke, The Last Man and many more. I have also done composing and vocal production work for TV shows like Black Jesus and the movie Not Cool, as well as having won several awards for music I did for various short films. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Be clear about your expectations in the quote. The more you can tell me about what you're looking for, the more I can fine tune my contribution to your vision.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I sing in a variety of different languages, and I know how to tune my voice to a track based on whether i'm the lead or blending into the background.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I'd like to think I elevate the songs I work on by giving it that personal touch of my voice and feel for that specific track. Everyone wants something different for their music, and the most fun part I think is getting to add a little bit of your own artistry to a creation that someone's entrusted you to contribute to.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The list is long, but artists such as Tracy Chapman, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell and John Mayer are among whose songwriting I find inspiring.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I do a lot of demo work for songwriters, and a lot of background vocals for other singers who are looking to add another voice to their songs.
