  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: I work mostly digital due to modern workflow & recall purposes are much simpler.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: It never feels like work

  5. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  6. A: People think engineering is all technical but its 80% communication and people skills.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: If the vibe isn't there look for someone else regardless of technical capabilites

  9. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  10. A: Macbook Pro, Apollo Twin, KRK Monitors w Sub, Slate VMS Mic, Kaotica Eyeball.

  11. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  12. A: I began DJ'ing as an amateur around 2008, which led into producing beats, which led into artists asking me to record them, i attended CRAS in phoenix for 11 months to study music engineering and moved to LA in April 2015 where i began interning for Westlake Studios in Hollywood and eventually became a Freelance Engineer in September 2017.

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: I still havent worked with Snoop or Dr. Dre and would like to

  17. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  18. A: Sidechain compress your Reverbs and/or Delays with the sidechain coming from a send on your lead vocal track / aux set to 100% so that the reverbs duck for around 300ms while the lead vocal is present then comes back in based on your set release time (300ms). This give a clean vocal sound and then fills the space with the reverbs.

  19. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  20. A: Pop, Hip Hop

  22. A: I focus on making the artist / writer comfortable, its all about the vibes.

  23. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  24. A: My experience from the hundreds of sessions i've been apart of and learned so many cool tips & tricks from other engineers / producers.

  25. Q: What's your typical work process?

  26. A: There is no typical work process for me, i will cater to process that makes the recording easiest for the clients.

  28. A: My studio setup is Pro Tools 12, Universal Apollo Twin Mkii with UAD Neve Preamp & Tubetech CL1b Compressor Recording Chain. 2018 Mac Mini studio computer, Slate VMS with ML1 microphone, Kaotica Eyeball, Akai MPK49, All Waves plugins, Fabfilter Bundle, Soundtoys Bundle, Slate Mix Bundle.
