Aba is a very versitile vocalist and has a beautiful voice! She is a pleasure to work with and goes above and beyond to make the song something very special. Look forward to working with her again.
From the moment she took the stage, you captivated the guests with your enchanting voice and skillful renditions of our favorite songs. The atmosphere she created with her music was absolutely perfect, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening filled with joy, love, and celebration. Her ability to read the crowd and adapt to their energy was truly impressive, and it ensured that everyone was on their feet, dancing and singing along throughout the night. Could not recommend her enough!
Interview with Aba Chiara
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: My original album: I was involved in literally every aspect of it: composition, writing, producing, executive production, promotion, shootings, PR, etc. That's the versatility and wholeness I like.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My own entertainment service with quality live music to bring all around the world.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: As someone smarted than me said (Erykah Badu): Analog girl in a digital word.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I can provide what you're asking for. I'm versatile and stubborn. I will do it ;)
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I'm lucky: I love it.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's an easy job. It's easy when you think about the fact that we love the job, so it might look like we're just having fun, but actually there's so much of ourselves put in every inch of the work that I think it's even more difficult than a "regular job"
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Timings, specific needs for the recording (like tech specs, etc.), what kind of emotion they're looking for, which kind of sound/timber they're looking for
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Please be clear with your needs, I like to provide with magic, so I need to understand where my magic meets yours.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Monitor, reverb, mic, cable and... erm... electricity? LOL
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been singing since I was 4. I've been doing it professionally since I was 20. I've been in the business for more than 13 years and the amount of different experiences I took part in, all contribute to my feeling and versatility.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Soul, Rnb, rock: modern times Tina Turner, mixed with Joss Stone, mixed with a little bit of Beyonce (non that I resemble them, it's that I take a lot of hints in style) :)
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Too many to count LOL
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: I never filter, nor with digital filters (like autotune) neither with emotional filters. Music is magic, if you put too much filters between the heat of the producer and the heart of the listener, that magic disappears.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Blues, soul, jazz, gospel, Rnb. I also record pop and rock.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Adaptability, professionalism, collaboration
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I will put my soul and bring soul to the song, if I'm allowed to do so. In case it's needed I can also record a "plain" song like a demo, but if I can add my touch according to the client's needs, I'm all in!
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to collaborate, discuss terms, needs and wants with the clients. I typically propose more than one recording of the same track with at least 3 tracks of my rec provided: I want the people I work with to be happy with the result so more options with different intentions are for me the best way to provide the greatest choice they can have.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have my own home recording studio (Marrantz Turret professional) for demo recordings, but when it comes to provide the final result, I always choose a professional studio and recording engineer to provide 110% quality of sound and all.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually work with composers to fine tune their melody/lyrics and to sing the demo or final tracks for the songs.
