KC on SoundBetter

I'm KC a Music Producer and Mix Engineer from London UK. I have been studying music since 05', and very passionate about music. I love the whole process of creating music from scratch, and helping artists to realise their vision. Let me know how I can help you

I've got a Degree in Music Production and run a successful beat selling website. I can produce beats from scratch, if you tell me how you want it to sound. I have a website with over 50 beats for you to choose from.

I'm always learning new techniques to make my productions sound good and current. I love collabing with others which expands my creativity

Interview with KC

  1. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  2. A: Macbook full of plug ins, ATHM50's, MIDI Keyboard 25 Keys,

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: I've worked in a factory, as a builder and sales advisor. I thought I'd make it pro football but that didn't work out

  5. Q: How would you describe your style?

  6. A: Current

  7. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  8. A: Giggs, Tinie Tempah, Donaeo, Wretch 32, Timbaland , Pharrell. There's others but I can't think right now

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: Sound choice is everything

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: All sorts. Rap/RnB?Club/Afro Beats

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: I'd say bringing feel and current elements to my prodcutions

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: I bring my style and flavor, no one else can replicate that so I'm good lol

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: My typical work process is either building beats around an artists vocals or producing custome beats and sending them to artists to do their thing. When building beats it normally starts from a chord progression or I hum a beat into my voice notes, import that and build from there

  19. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  20. A: My studio setup is simple yet effective, KRK VXT6 Monitors that I've had since 08' when I went to Uni, iMac, loads of Plug-ins, ATHM50 headphones for when I need to zone in on what I'm working on, Focusrite DSP24 which I will be upgrading soon to an Apollo Twin Duo

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: Sounds cliche´ but I'm inspired by both upcoming and seasoned vets. My main influence for getting into beatmaking was Timbaland, but Daniel Beddingfield made me realise that I could make beats in my bedroom, so I bought Music Generator on PS2 back in 2001

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: The most common thing I'd say is producing beats, but I do a lot of Mix and Mastering, honing my skills
