Mark Pettitt on SoundBetter

Orchestral, film, and game composer. I create everything from epic cinematic scores to light underscore and have professionally worked on Steam-released games and various media projects. Versatile and passionate, I’ll help bring your project’s sound to life!

Hey!

I’m Mark Pettitt—a classically trained pianist, composer, and all-around music nerd with a degree in Music Composition for Film, TV, and Games from Berklee. I’ve been writing professional music for games and media for several years, including projects for some pretty big-name brands (yes, the kind you might have actually heard of).

I play piano, cello, and even African percussion—basically anything that makes noise and sounds good. I specialize in creating music that brings your project to life, whether that’s cinematic underscore, epic game themes, or that “huge, face-melting” sound you’ve been dreaming of. I use top-notch virtual instruments and plugins, and if you need live instruments, I can make that happen too.

I can share tracks from my existing catalogue that fit your style or mood—so you get a real taste of what I can do without waiting for me to crank out a new score overnight. My goal? To make your project sound amazing and have a bit of fun along the way.

Let’s make some music magic!

During COVID lockdown we posted about 35 short videos for our community to inspire and motivate them, based on key theme words. Mark at Little Cat Studios immediately grasped what was required and composed and produced short intro orchestral jingles for the video messages that perfectly encapsulated the emotion of each theme word. The work was done timeously and followed all parameters requested. Mark also took our school song, scored for piano, and created a magnificent large-scale orchestrated version suitable for big events.
