Hakan is the number one guy to go to if you want your image to become reality. He did an amazing job recreating the beat and making it match perfectly with techno made from scratch.

Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Mickey Shiloh, Coop The Truth, Jazelle Paris, Breana Marin, AudioUnitz.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Composing and feeding off emotion.
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I am developing an artist at the moment, and I am proud with every song we've completed. I had been looking for a talent like him for quite some time and every song that we do is better than the next. I am producing and co writing his music.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Sample packs, Songs for artists, and my own collaborative album.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Mickey Shiloh, Coop The Truth, Jazelle Paris, Joseph Mourad, Breana Marin, AudioUnitz.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Still torn between this. The character of analog, but the efficiency of digital.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I will listen to your vision, and put in the hours/days to complete it.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: It's what I love to do. I also love completing a job, and the client being super happy. That's honestly a great feeling. It makes me happy that they're happy, and makes me happy because I know I did a great job.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Can you send me a test mix?......No.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That it's easy and care free. Although writing and producing might be easy at this point, it took years to get here. From starting music at 5 years old to today. I've been doing this since the all analog days.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What emotion do you want to evoke in this project.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: As much as I love create freedom, I think it's good for the client to have a vision of what emotion they want to evoke with the music.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Mac Pro, 88 key midi controller, Fender Strat, Apogee Interface, and Fender Bass....my +1 would be a 1073.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been doing music my whole life. I remember recording myself playing piano on a tape deck, then soloing trumpet over it at age 8. I used to play in bands growing up (rock, jazz, pop, classical concert bands). But, I have been producing as a career for a little over 10 years.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Unique. Something new, inspired by the old. Rugged and Smooth at the same dang time.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Bruno Mars. I've admired his tastefulness for a long time.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Sometimes simplicity is the hardest yet best thing to do.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: My musical expertise. I have studied music for my whole life, from classical to jazz to metal to hip hop to...you get it.....I have learned from so many different genres of music. The key components in creating a great song and/or production.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I usually get a good idea of what is needed to be done before the job is funded. Once it is funded, I will start creating. Being a musician, I usually start with composition and instrumentation, then get deeper into the production. It's different every time though.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have 2 apple computers (Macbook pro and iMac), Apogee Element Interface, PRS Guitars, Fender Guitars, Ibanez bass, Logic Pro X, a bunch of plugins and virtual synths. I could start nerding out on everything, but I'd be sitting here typing about it for days.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Man....Quincy Jones, Pharrell, Timbaland, Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Benny Blanco
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I've gotten mostly production work, then session playing, and mixing work.
