Miiqo

Country/EDM Topliner, Vocalist

Miiqo on SoundBetter

Radio-ready Country/EDM topliner and vocalist delivering haunting melodies, raw emotion, and catchy hooks that cut through the noise.

I’m a country/EDM vocalist and topliner specializing in emotionally rich, commercially polished vocal performances. Whether you’re building a dark cinematic drop or a pop-country crossover, I deliver vocals that hit deep and hooks that stick. My voice blends soulful grit with smooth control, and I write toplines that fuse vulnerability with edge—perfect for sync, radio, or festival-ready tracks.

I work in a professionally treated home studio and deliver clean, high-quality stems—fully comped, timed, and tuned as needed. I’m especially strong in:
• Country-trap/EDM fusion
• Dark pop or mythic cinematic toplines
• Heartfelt ballads or gritty anthems
• Layered harmonies and vocal textures
• Sync-ready lyrics with impact and story

If you want vocals that make people feel something and elevate your track to its highest potential, let’s connect. I’m easy to work with, deeply intuitive about emotion, and fast on turnaround.

Interview with Miiqo

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One of my most meaningful projects is “I Still Pray”—a stripped, soul-bearing track written during a moment of personal crisis. I wrote and engineered it myself, and listeners have said it’s one of the most honest songs they’ve ever heard.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m working on my first LP—a cinematic country/EDM crossover— as well as a collaborative dark pop single for a major label series. I’m also finishing several sync-friendly tracks for pitching.

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: Digital: for speed, flexibility, and remote workflow. But I love when digital production leaves room for organic imperfection and emotional nuance.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I will treat your project like it matters, because it does. I’ll bring my full creative presence and vocal skill to every session, and deliver work that sounds as great as it feels.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: I love bringing a song to life, transforming silence into story, and turning emotion into sound that sticks with someone long after the music ends.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: Q: Can you make it sound like [insert major artist]? A: I can match the vibe or vocal tone you’re going for, but I’ll always bring your story and my unique tone to make the song feel original and true.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: That vocals are just a last-minute add-on. A great vocal isn’t just a performance, it’s an emotional engine that makes people feel something lasting. It deserves as much craft as the production itself.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: • What do you want the listener to feel when they hear this song? • Any vocal or style references you love? • Are there lyrics, melodies, or harmonies already written? • Do you want me to comp/tune or deliver raw takes?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Know the feeling you’re trying to create in your track, not just the sound. I can match vibe, tone, and genre—but it’s the emotion we’re chasing that makes the song hit.

  19. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  20. A: I’ve been singing and writing music for over a two decades, starting as a worship leader in church, then as a DJ and songwriter in the Austin music scene. My work evolved into vocal production, toplining, and sync writing, where I found my voice as a genre-bending artist and vocal collaborator.

  21. Q: How would you describe your style?

  22. A: Dark, ethereal, emotionally raw. My style fuses country grit with cinematic emotion and haunting electronic textures; always storytelling-driven, always honest.

  23. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  24. A: I’d love to work with Illenium or SLANDER, because their production carries so much emotional weight and power, and I know my vocal style would add depth and edge to their sonic world.

  25. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  26. A: Don’t over-polish at the expense of soul. A slightly imperfect vocal take with real feeling will always connect more than a flawless one that’s emotionally flat.

  27. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  28. A: I work on genre-blending tracks that fall between country, pop, EDM, and cinematic soundscapes. My specialty is fusing heartfelt storytelling with dark, modern production.

  29. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  30. A: Translating emotion into melody. My strongest skill is capturing the emotional truth of a track and turning it into a topline that lingers, with unique phrasing, inner rhymes, and haunting harmony stacks that elevate the entire production.

  31. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  32. A: I bring a voice that feels. I create melodies and lyrics that resonate on a gut level; balancing grit and softness, beauty and edge. I’m intuitive and deliver vocals that carry the emotional weight of the story being told.

  33. Q: What's your typical work process?

  34. A: Once I receive the track and creative brief, I tune in emotionally, free-write topline ideas, and then track layered vocals, starting with the main performance, then harmonies, doubles, and texture layers. I deliver comped, clean stems ready for mix, and can provide tuning if needed.

  35. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  36. A: I record most of my vocals in a minimally sleek, sound-treated home studio using Ableton Live. For projects requiring industry-level polish or studio-grade tracking, I also have access to a full professional recording studio with premium gear and isolation, so whether you need fast creative takes or pristine radio-ready vocals, I’ve got both options covered.

  37. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  38. A: I’m inspired by genre-bending artists like Sleep Token, Jessie Murph, and Roniit—musicians who fuse emotional depth with sonic innovation. I also love cinematic storytellers like Lana Del Rey and producers who create rich, textured atmospheres like AWAY and Crywolf.

  39. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  40. A: I record high-quality vocal performances and write toplines for country, EDM, and cinematic crossover tracks. Most clients hire me for emotionally charged hooks, layered harmonies, and dark, soulful vocals that carry both commercial polish and raw vulnerability.
