Performed and/or recorded with Ryan Robinette, andrews', STRUAN, Bree Doster, HAYL, J. Hartley and others.
I'm a versatile guitarist currently living in Nashville, Tennessee, looking to record the guitar parts that will make your newest song amazing. My favorite thing in life is making music with others. I'm passionate about collaborating with artists to achieve the maximum emotional impact that a song can deliver.
The parts I write and record will be entirely custom to the song's needs and your personal artistic input. With an extensive background in church music, a collegiate degree in jazz, and touring/recording experience with a variety of pop and country artists, I have a wealth of different styles to draw from when recording. I'm dedicated to finding the part and sound that will make your music stand out.
With six guitars, over 20 effects pedals, and access to hundreds of amplifiers, I can design the sound and feel that will fit your track perfectly. Rhythm or lead, acoustic or electric, simple or busy — whatever you're hearing in your head, I can create it. I'm comfortable with Pop, R&B, Funk, Rock, Singer-Songwriter, and more.
I would love to hear from you. Let's work together to create something exciting for your project. Hit the contact button above to get in touch.

Josh is an incredible guitar player. I listened to a few tracks he had played on and I knew he would be perfect for my song. I sent him over the song and the next day he sent me multiple versions and all the stems to try out.
He responds quickly, is very timely, organized and genuinely cares about collaboration.
I will 100% be working with Josh in the future and would highly recommend him for any guitar work you need on your future tracks. 10/10!!!
Interview with Josh Beatty
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Helping artists hear their own music in an exciting new way!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Kemper Profiler into a MOTU Ultralite interface. Yamaha HS8 Studio Monitors for playback.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I don't write guitar parts, I only discover the parts that are already there. It's my favorite thing in life to listen back to a finished recording and realize I didn't write the parts as much as they revealed themselves to me — I was only the channel through which the melodies became reality.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Indie pop (the 1975, Coldplay, Two Door Cinema Club, etc)
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Taste — not overplaying, but recording the parts that the song is needing.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Remote electric guitar recording — clients send me an unfinished song and ask for guitar parts to be recorded.
