Hey! I'm Claire and I am a female music producer, topliner, songwriter and sound designer from Sydney Australia. I currently work as a music producer in producing radio ready hits for an array of music artists and as a sound designer for commercial clients from my music and audio based company 'Sound Me Out'. I go above and beyond for my clients.
Hey I'm Claire! I started my career when I was 15 as a music artist. Some of my biggest accolades include charting in publications such as DJ Times and Billboard and working with people such as Grammy Award Winning House DJ and Producer ‘Dave Aude’ and Grammy nominated DJ ’Stonebridge’.
After my pursuits on the stage I began to become more interested in studio work and creative endeavours surrounding music and as a result I completed both a bachelor’s Degree in Audio Engineering and Diploma of Film. Since graduating I set up my startup music and audio company ‘Sound Me Out’, where I currently work in commercial sound design and producing and creating content for music artists.
I work with Ableton and Pro Tools and own a vast array of top plug-ins, virtual instruments and samples. The main genre I work in is pop and sub-pop genres. I work to give life to a song and work to produce radio ready releases that engages the listener from the first note. I work both from my home studio in Sydney and remotely with international clients. It all starts with an initial demo.
When you hire me you can be assured you are in the best of hands! I work until my clients are 100% happy. I find my clients like working with me because I am personable and professional and I care about the artists who I work with. I want you to be the best you can be in your music journey.

Interview with Claire Rasa
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: I'm extremely proud of a project I worked on that was a short film called 'Untitled'. I'm really proud of it because of how much effort and time I put into the film. I was the location recordist, sole sound designer and mixer on it and with the tight deadlines we had it almost seemed impossible to complete. I'm proud to have done what I did with the sound for the film.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm currently working on doing the sound design for a new mobile phone app that encompasses the composition and creation of SFX.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: I'd say both.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: Definitely my acoustic guitar, keyboard as well, my microphone to record vocals, laptop so I can have access to my software, my interface.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been in the industry for about five years now as I started out when I was very young at sixteen. I started out working as a singer/songwriter. After following my pursuits on the stage I began more interested in studio production and what goes on behind the scenes and then I enrolled in a Bachelor of Audio Engineering to major in Post Production with. I'm just about to turn 22 and hope to just be able to continue woking in the industry for as long as possible.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Take breaks. They're important especially when mixing.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: So far I've mainly work in indie pop, pop and singer songwriter styles. I'd love to however branch out into other genres to further my skills in audio.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: songwriting, specifically top lining. It's what I started out doing so have years of experience and have had years to develop my songwriting skills/
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio set up consist of an AKG 220 vocal microphone that I use to record vocals with and that is hooked into my Scarlette 2i2 interface.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Imogen Heap is a big one. She inspires me because of how tech savvy she is when it comes to audio production. Lauv and Charlie Puth are also two singers who inspire me because they producer their own music and I think it's rare now days to see well-known singers who are hands on in the production of their songs. Their not just a voice but so much more as well.
