Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

A: All kinds of guitar-based music, from indie rock to extreme metal genres.

Q: What do you bring to a song?

A: I try to amplify the emotion of a song sonically and musically so that listening is an exciting journey.

Q: What's your typical work process?

A: To prevent technical work from distracting me from creativity, I first prepare the session for mixing and do editing if necessary, and so on. And then when everything is ready, I start mixing. If I'm working on an album, I usually mix the first song until the clients are happy and then mix the rest of the album.

Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

A: I ask you to give me a demo because it helps me understand the artist's vision. I also ask about their favorite records to understand what the artist's overall preferences are. Whether he likes clean or dirty sound, bright or warm, hard or soft, etc.

Q: What's your strongest skill?

A: One of my strongest skills is to nail a song from the first, sometimes from the second mix.

Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A: - Make sure the mix engineer already has experience with music like you do || - Be sure to provide a demo. It is very important. The demo helps us understand how you hear your song, and as a result, helps the mix engineer carry your idea through the entire song from start to finish || Write comments, suggestions before starting work. Show your references. Give the mix engineer as much information as possible || After you heard the first version of the mix, do not rush to write comments. Live with this mix for a few days.

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

A: I promise my clients full involvement, individual approach, punctuality and that they will be proud to share their music with the world.

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

A: When it comes to mixing, the biggest misconception is that bad tracking and bad performance can be fixed at the mixing stage. In the modern world, there is some truth in this, but very little. It's very rare to get a great result without good tracking and performance. So get ready to record, put on fresh strings, heads, tune your instrument. Because your record will remain forever. So make it awesome!

Q: Analog or digital and why?

A: Both. A matter of convenience.

Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

A: Laptop + Headphones

Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

A: Like many others, I first recorded myself and my band. Then my friends asked me to help them with the recording. This is how it began. More than 10 years have passed since then.

Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

A: From a more classic rock sound, I really like the work of Brendan O'Brien (Mastodon, Wolfmother, Chris Cornell, etc.). From a more experimental rock sound, I really love the work of Tchad Blake (Mutemath, The Black Keysl, etc.) and Eric Valentine (The Queens of the Stone Age, Death From Above 1979, etc.). Of the heavier genres, I like the work of Kurt Ballou (Converge, etc.), Steve Evetts (The Dillinger's Escape Plan, etc.), Magnus Lindbergh (The Cult of Luna, etc.) and Seth Manchester (Daughters, etc.). From metal genres I love the work Dan Lancaster (Bring Me the Horizon, etc.), George Lever (Loate, etc.), Jacob Hansen (Vola, etc.). And also .. A: Pro Tools, UAD Apollo and a lot of plugins, pedals and virtual instruments.

A: With online clients, it is usually mixing and mastering.
