  1. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  2. A: Started with music performance; Guitar and Piano, moved into Engineering after 6 years of performing with professional bands in Mexico. Studied in various colleges such as: SAE Institute, Berkelee College of Music, Art Institite, Border Music Production and Tec de Monterrey: Mexico. 4+ Years Experience in Professional Live Sound 6+ Years Experience in Professional Recording Studios 8+Years Experience in Professional Mixing 15+ Years Experience in DAW’s: Pro Tools, Reason, Ableton, Logic, Cubase

  3. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  4. A: You will never get “ghosted” or no replies from me.

  5. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  6. A: Constantly feeding my brain with new music and always learning new techniques to adapt.

  7. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  8. A: How fast can you get it done? - depends on the length of the project but typically around 3 days to a week. How many revisions do I get? - there’s a limit of 100 revisions and if you are not happy with the 100th one you get at 40% discount of your total.

  9. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  10. A: That the sound it’s in the equipment. It is not. It’s in a good Engineer.

  11. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  12. A: Have you hired a professional like me before? What are your expectations? How much have you paid for a service like this before? What do you want to get out of this? How soon do you expect the project to be finalized? Would you recommend me to your friends if you had a good experience with me?

  13. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  14. A: Always try to keep a clear communication with what you want and what you need, We’re here to make YOUR project

  15. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  16. A: Guitar, battery practice amplifier, 4track recorder, electron Sps-1, Moog Minitaur

  17. Q: How would you describe your style?

  18. A: Detail Heavy, Silky

  19. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  20. A: System of a Down, I’ve been listening to them my whole life and they changed a lot of perspectives I had. Working with them would be a full circle.

  21. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  22. A: If your doubting a part of your production don’t get stuck on it, keep it moving and then come back. Maintaining a constant workflow will help ease your mind to help you come up with a much better solution than waisting unnecessary brain cells in a detail for two hours.

  23. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  24. A: Techno, Rock, Latin, Hip -Hop

  25. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  26. A: Patience, attention to detail.

  27. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  28. A: The glue and polishing that it needs to shine properly, musical suggestions and arranging consultation if requested.

  29. Q: What's your typical work process?

  30. A: Prep.edit.mix - ear break - mix- repeat. I typically like to stay in contact with my clients and provide them with 100% of my attention, especially if it’s a remote project. I do Skype, FaceTime, WhatsApp, or anything necessary to keep a good communication for achieving the best sound you can get.

  31. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  32. A: I’ve got a home mixing setup with Pro Tools, Reason & Ableton for mixing and producing(Focal CMS 40, Yamaha Hs8 Sub, Apollo Twin), I work remotely out of NRG Recording studios whenever clients need to book studio time For recording or mixing.

  33. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  34. A: Gorillaz, Jimmy Hendrix, Stephan Bodzin, LED Zepellin, James Blake, System of a Down, Sam Gellatry, Rush, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Jamie Jones, Solomon, Richie Hawtin.

  35. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  36. A: Most of the work I do is Mixing, some time I get the occasional Guitar part or drum pack.

  37. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  38. A: Azor - Disintegration EP (Mixing) One of my most fun projects to work with, really enjoyed the music and the process; go check it out!

  39. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  40. A: 4 track EP mixing

  44. A: Digital , analog and hybrid, depending on clients needs and budget.
