Hello I am Capn Debacle (Davin Tillman) and the creator of 211 Audio Productions I produced my first album in high school then took a little time off to take care of family issues but now I am back at it. I received a degree in Digital media audio with honors. After graduation I completed an internship at Prairie Sun Studios.

  1. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  2. A: I like the freedom of digital editing and the sound of analog recordings.

  3. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  4. A: There is never enough content/ information about your project

  5. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  6. A: Tech N9ne, the passion and skill behind his music it truly inspiring as well as his creative vision and musical fusion.

  7. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  8. A: Ask the client questions, not only about their work but about them. Learning about their inspiration is just as important as asking what their expectations are.

  9. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  10. A: Hip hop , r&b, classical as well as vocal and guitar based mixing/editing

  11. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  12. A: Adaptation

  13. Q: What's your typical work process?

  14. A: After asking what is expected (type of sound as well as time frame) I begin to create/mix each track individually making sure the sound meets expectations. Only then will I mix the piece as a whole. I then send a sample and take notes on what worked for the client and what needs improvement so that I can edit the piece to their liking.

  15. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  16. A: I have both a stationery and mobile workstation as well as a focusrite scarlett 18i20 interface, krk rocket 5's and akg Q701 reference headphones

  17. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  18. A: I am inspired by all that have a passion for their craft.

  19. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  20. A: Beat creation, remixes, mixing and editing.
