cameron lane is a sixteen year old songwriter who specializes in indie pop with heartfelt and personal lyrics.
I've been writing songs for just about 8 years now, and to try to get my name out into the industry, I would primarily like to extend my skills as a songwriter to others in need of lyrics.
the most recent examples of my work are on my youtube channel (https://youtube.com/cameronlane) and on most major streaming services under "cameron lane" (all lowercase).
I hope to work with you soon!
disclaimer-- please do not contact me if you do not plan on giving me credit for my work. also, I will not send anything to anyone unless the project receives funding, aside from a short demo if required to see if I'm right for your job. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I've had some rough experiences with these things in the past and I don't want them to happen again! thanks :)

Interview with cameron lane
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: currently I'm working on getting my songs produced and released onto major streaming services.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been writing music for nine years, but I'm only sixteen, so I'm still a junior in high school. my current plan is to look into colleges with a songwriting major available, but that also have good business programs or flexible degrees. if I could pursue music full time that would be wonderful, so that's why I'm here!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on my own, so mainly indie pop or folk pop.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: my studio at home consists of my macbook pro, a yamaha DGX-660, a sterling audio ST55, and a scarlett 2i2 interface. my primary DAW is logic pro x, but in my music production class at school I use protools and reason.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am inspired by other young female artists making their way into the industry now! people like samia, lizzy mcalpine, sara keden, annie dirusso, beabadoobee, dodie, orla gartland, sabel, etc.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I believe my strongest skill is my lyrical ability.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: my style is kind of a synth pop/acoustic hybrid, because while my main interest now is synths and midi focused pieces, I still love to throw in my uke or some piano.
